Dr. Suess

I finally got to cut into the Dr. Suess fabric that I purchased a few months ago!  I have been itching to make some crayon rolls with them but I have been so busy with other crayon roll orders.  I had someone contact me and needed 10 asap so I whipped them out and had them in the mail the next morning.  They turned out cute and I love all the colors!

This week on my to-do list is 10 construction crayon rolls and 40 whale rolls!

I do have more of these available in my Etsy shop

Have a great week!

Rossin's Birthday

One of our friend's little boys turned 1 a couple of months ago and I made a baby book for him.  I just realized I never blogged about it!  It turned out really cute and it's a good book to bring to church when he needs something quiet to play with.  I made it out of  old jeans and some scraps.  Because you know I have TONS of those!

I love how it turned out and now I am coming up with ideas to make one for girls!  Maybe if I can get time to make more I can sell them in my Etsy shop!   Today I am linking up with Made By You Monday over at Skip to My Lou and Too Cute Tuesday at the Fundky Polkadot Giraffe.  They always have great crafty stuff to look through that others post.  Go check it out!

Gift Sets

Sorry it has been awhile since I have posted!  I have had a lot of custom orders for crayon rolls and I have been busy with those.  I am just about tired of Batman, Monsters, Polka Dots and Ladybugs!   Ha!  But that is okay, I love to sew so that makes it fun!

I have added a few gift sets that I made last month and am just getting around to listing.  They include a zippered bag with gusseted bottom, a coordinating tissue holder and bookmark.  They would have made great Mother's Day gifts, but I didn't get around to them in time :(  Maybe next year!  But I know there are birthdays and other reasons people might want to purchase a gift set so they are now available!  I just tried to add photos of some but Blogger is acting up.  You will have to go to my Etsy shop to see what is  available!

Toddler Crayon Rolls

Today I have been sewing up some of those 62 crayon rolls that I cut Saturday.  I am adding a new crayon size to the shop that will hold the large toddler size and the triangular crayons too!  Today I have sewn ladybugs with polka dots and a construction print with a chevron stripe.  Very cute prints!  I will let you all know when I get them listed in the shop.  I've got to figure up a price first.

Not sure why the ladybugs look giant here, but they aren't quite that big :)

I am almost out of labels so I am somewhat hesitant to sew more until my shipment comes in.  It is supposed to ship out tomorrow!  I wish I had thought to order them sooner.  It looked like I had a bunch left until I started sewing :)

Have a great Wednesday!

Cut, Cut, Cut!

I have spent most of the day cutting crayon rolls for a Spring Fling I am selling at in 2 weeks!  I just finished cutting 62 crayon rolls!  Whew!

 I.am.pooped.

Per a customer's request, I am adding a new size to hold toddler crayons and they also fit the triangle toddler crayons, too.  Hopefully I will have time to get some sewing in this week.  In between baseball games, that is!

Ooh La La!

I stumbled upon a fabric sale last week.  Not that I NEED more fabric, but I do only have one more coffee sleeve left in the shop and a lot of my fabrics are geared towards little ones since I sell so many crayon rolls.  So when I saw the fabric line "Ooh La La" by Pillow & Maxfield for Michael Miller, I thought this would be a good start.  The fat quarter fabric bundles were 50% off that day at the Fat Quarter Shop!  Hot dog!  I got two different groupings since I couldn't decide on only one.  I have that problem a lot.  Ahem.

Aren't these pretty?  They are similar but different color schemes.  I can't wait to cut into them!

Fabric Day!

Today I finally opened up a box of fabric that was delivered a couple of days ago!  I usually rip into it as soon as UPS rings the doorbell, but I haven't been home long enough this week with all the ball games my boys have had!  Ahem....County Champs.....Ahem.  Anyway, you will have to excuse the wrinkles and bad lighting (thank you cloudy day!)  I didn't want to wait any longer :)

I ran out of Dr. Suess fabric about a month ago.  I have done several party packs for Dr. Suess themed birthday parties.  Then when I went to order more, everything was gone and on back order!  So I finally got a hold of some.  The blue and red fish bowl with blue oval dots is the only one that is a repeat.  All are new prints for me and I can't wait to cut into them!

Then I found two groupings from books from my childhood.  I always loved the Berenstain Bears.  And I've always called my youngest one "The Pokey Little Puppy" when he walks behind me.  So cute!  And the dogs driving cars and trucks I couldn't pass up!  Now I have a lot of work to do!  Isn't going to happen this weekend though!  Hopefully soon.  I hope everyone has a great weekend!
